Things to Do with Your Kids on a Rainy Day

Here are a few things that you can do with your kids on a rainy day. There are plenty of things you can do in the house without having to get drenched in the rain.

Reading Time

You can get your children to choose books they would like to read, and set up a reading corner in the living room. Make it pretty with coloured fabric, and chairs and cushions. Read stories and have some fun.

Singalong

You can put on a CD of kiddy songs and get your children to sing along to the words, and dance as well. You will be surprised at how much fun you can have.

Musical Chairs

Throw on some music and play musical chairs.

Craft Time

Make cards, pictures, painting, do colouring, let your imagination run wild.

Baking

Bake some healthy cookies or cakes with your kids and get them to join in.

Word Games

Play some word games with your kids by placing words all over the house on pieces of paper. They have to find the pieces of paper and match them to items around the house.

Board Games

If you have some board games in the house, play them with your kids.

Face Painting and Dress up

You don't have to go to the carnival to have fun, bring the carnival to the house. Dress and paint your kids faces. They will love it!
